13-Catholic Schools Closing In Baltimore

Citizens, students and faculty are impacted by the Feb.28-2010 decision made by the Catholic Archdiocese  in Baltimore to consolidate. As a result the following Catholic schools in Baltimore City and Baltimore County will shut their doors for good at season’s end. Ascension School, St.Bernadine-Catholic School, St.Clare School, Father Charles Hall Catholic Elementary and Middle School, Holy Family School, St.Katharine School, Mother Mary-Lange Catholic School, Our Lady of Fatima School, St.Rose of Lima School,Sacred Heart of  Mary School, Shrine of  the Sacred Heart School, St.William of York School and The Cardinal Gibbons School. Reason given by the Catholic Archdiocese was fallen student enrollment. The Catholic Archdiocese currently edjucates approximately 23,000 students across the nation.
